Job Description & Selection Criteria
Honeybee Toys is seeking a casual/part-time Retail Assistant/s to be part of the team at their Malvern store in Glenferrie Rd. The position is initially for a period of 4 months: September to end
24 December, but we are seeking applicants with an interest in long term positions. The position/s will be paid as casual according to the current Retail Shop Assistants Award.

The position is for Sunday 10am-2.30pm and either Monday 10am-5.15pm OR Saturday 10am-4pm.

Selection Criteria:
We are seeking applicants studying Early Childhood Studies or similar.

Retail experience, computer skills, a background in early childhood development or some understanding of Steiner education would be an asset to the position.

Duties
Sell & advise customers on products
Processing sales using MYOB Retail Manager, EFTPOS and Credit Card facilities
Customer Service & building of customer relationships
Product Knowledge – becoming familiar with Honeybee products, and age appropriate toys
Promoting Honeybee stores and website to customers
Maintaining, entering and ordering stock
Merchandising and maintaining store displays
Cash handling
Maintaining store ambience
Performing housekeeping duties
Organising and maintaining work areas
Balancing register & producing sales reports.
