Outbound Telemarketer

Job Description & Selection Criteria
We require an experienced telemarketer for a temporary position of approximately two weeks starting September 21, with further casual work throughout the year. This position requires an individual with an enthusiastic, self-confident & motivated work attitude.

You will be working within a small team environment making outbound calls to established leads, to recruit regular givers for a well-respected not-for-profit environmental organisation, ensuring that every customer contact is managed in a genuine and professional manner. You will also be recording information in a excel spreadsheet for reporting purposes.

To be successful in this role you will require:

• A minimum of one year’s experience and a proven track record in an outbound sales telemarketing role
• Confidence in asking for money over the phone from valued supporters and ability to close a sale
• Outstanding verbal communication skills, with an outgoing and friendly telephone manner
• Strong customer service focus
• Computer literate
• A self-motivated and enthusiastic nature
• An awareness of environmental issues will also be highly regarded

Remuneration is $25/hr, working in a friendly and professional work environment.

Full training will be given and this role is to start Monday 21 September based in our Carlton office. Hours will be 3-8pm Monday-Thursday, and possibly 11-5 Saturday.
