Design & oversee implementation of Virtualization

Design & oversee implementation of Disaster Recovery product using ShadowProtect and Virtualization. Working from Camberwell.

Consideration will only be given to applicants with strong IT interest and background IT knowledge.

* Provide assistance in the establishment of the production and testing a DR solution using Shadowprotect and other backup software.

* Provide assistance in the establishment of the production and test our virtual infrastructure environment (VMWARE) in conjunction with external vendors.

* Co-ordinate and conduct regular disaster recovery testing.

* Research and provide advanced troubleshooting capacity of all Backup and restores related issues.

* As required develop and enhance the virtualization support capacity of the IT directorate by providing technical mentoring of other staff in the operation of virtualization technologies.

* Research as required.

The potential candidate Must:

* Be able to succesfully install and Maintain a Microsoft Small Business Server or Microsoft server 2003 or 2008.
* TCPIP and networking Knowledge
* Minimum of 1+ years experience in IT support, tier 2 or similar environment.
* Demonstrated knowledge in business continuity and disaster recovery planning and testing.
* Ability to foster amicable working relationships.

Relevant Qualifications:
studying for relevant Information Technology Diploma/Degree.

Fast learner from online training material.
Shadow Protect knowledge
VMware knowlegde a bonus
Linux/Unix Knowledge a bonus

You must have excellent communication skills both verbal and written, as well as effective time management skills.
