Job Description & Selection Criteria
We are seeking a 2 new part-time 1st level service desk analysts to join our IT services (ITS) group in the provision of quality based helpdesk service. These are phone based roles and will require your expertise to resolve and log a variety of IT and other support related calls as well as email and web queries across a national user base of almost 5000+ staff!
Our technical environment will see you working with range of software and hardware (plus telephony) including Windows XP, Office & Outlook 2007, IBM and Dell notebooks/desktops and up to 300 in-house applications.
To succeed in these positions, it is essential that you combine your strong verbal communication and customer service skills with your ability to maintain a high level of professionalism in all situations. An investigative mind and patient/polite phone manner are essential!
You will also need to have commenced or completed a relevant tertiary qualification and bring:
Demonstrated experience with call logging systems
Evidence of your problem solving skills in action
Previous commercial experience in PC support, preferably with a remote user base (ideally 6 months+)
The hours of work are approximately 20 hours per week, 9.00am to 1.00pm from Monday through to Friday. This flexibility may suit an IT support specialist with study or other personal commitments during the afternoons and evenings.
