A unique opportunity exists for enthusiastic individuals to join our Melbourne technical support team. We are a young and fast-growing Australian IT company. Our modern South Yarra office provides 24x7 support to operations in the USA, Europe, India and Australia. The role requires some nightshifts but rosters are otherwise flexible. You will receive on-the-job training and career-oriented experience and opportunities.
To be successful, you must possess the following:
- Relevant IT tertiary qualifications.
- Professional and excellent customer service skills.
- High computer literacy with a variety of solid computer skills (including MS Word, MS Excel, database concepts, installing applications etc.).
- Excellent communication skills.
- Fluent and strong English language skills; both written and spoken.
Desired personal attributes:
- High energy and motivation levels.
- Strong investigative, analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- High level of initiative
- Strong team player.
- Reliable, thorough, friendly and enthusiastic.
- Documentation and technical writing skills.
Any of the following are not essential but will be viewed very favorably:
- Experience in a formal support environment.
- Exposure to ticketed support systems and bug tracking software.
- Knowledge of Storage/Backup/Disaster Recovery solutions.
- Professional experience is viewed as more desirable than university only training.
- Hands-on experience in MS Windows Exchange 2000/2003/2007 administration, SQL Server.
- Knowledge of databases (MS SQL Server).
- Software testing or QA experience.
